Patchwork Kantha

These jackets have been made from a handmade patchwork blanket. The colorful cotton textile pieces have been handstitched together in a unique combination and feature the typical running Kantha stitch added by hand by locals in Jaisalmer. Kantha is a traditional embroidery technique, and is characterized by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. This characteristic embroidery method has been used in India for hundreds of years.
